Yin Yoga

Join me at St. Marys Church Hall, St. Marys Place, Inverurie, AB51 3NW, on Monday evenings from 1730 to 1830. It's the perfect way to ease into the week and cultivate peace for your body and mind. Yin yoga is a meditative practice in which we hold postures for 3 - 5 minutes, creating eustress on the connective tissues, joint capsules, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and bones to invite more lubrication, conjuring more supple joints and a quieter mind.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy differs from a general yoga class in that we are highly trained in assessing clients via a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model and approach treatment in a salutogenic way to promote self-agency. Yoga therapy is the professional application of principles and tools of yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and lifestyle recommendations inspired by Ayurveda to the whole person with an evidence-based focus on guiding the client towards eudaimonic wellbeing. Yoga therapy can address a range of concerns such as persistent pain and fatigue conditions, neurological issues, mental health difficulties, life-limiting illness support, and healthy ageing. It may also be considered an existential therapy, using philosophical concepts to help people explore and create meaning in their lives and develop self-agency with decision-making at times of uncertainty or change. It is an adaptable and collaborative therapeutic intervention that is wide-reaching and supportive of many complex issues.

· PMDD

· Eating disorders

· Disordered eating and body image

· Sensory Integration

· Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs) / Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI)

Sessions are £75 for 75 minutes and can be conducted via Zoom, or in a treatment room at ICPC Health, Kintore.

Yin Ting

Come and join us for yin yoga combined with sound, finished up with a cup of tea and time to connect. Yin yoga will be instructed by Elle Cochrane, and a sound bath will be provided by Allan Mollins.
